Thank you for wanting to volunteer with us. We appreciate all of our volunteers! As a plus, all of our volunteers receive verified community service hours!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Tutors are required to have an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher

  • You must be a high school student (grades 9-12)

  • Students in other grade levels/situations may be able to volunteer with an executive override. Visit the FAQs section for more information on this!

  • Submit our volunteer application

  • Complete a quick but efficient volunteer training​

  • Be compassionate, kind, and have good email etiquette

START YOUR OWN CHAPTER

Lead a Power Scholars Online Tutoring chapter in your area! If you're interested, please email executive.powerscholars@gmail.com.

IN-PERSON CHAPTER

  • Ideal for starting a Power Scholars club at your school!

  • Provide tutoring locally in your school's media center, cafeteria, or at local coffee shops

  • Ideal for those that don't want to teach via Zoom or other online teaching platforms

  • Earn volunteer hours for sessions (up to 60 minutes per session per student)

Requirements

  • Be a high school student

  • Attend a Zoom meeting with the main leadership team of Power Scholars to present what area you would like to lead

  • Volunteers are expected to follow Power Scholars protocol

  • Have innovative ideas on how you can grow Power Scholars and spread our cause

  • Be a current volunteer in our internship/volunteer program 

  • Have planned areas for meetings (e.g., high school cafeteria, local coffee shop)

VIRTUAL CHAPTER

  • Ideal for starting a global Power Scholars chapter in a bigger area (e.g., Greater Houston, Greater Orlando, Manhattan/Brooklyn, etc.).

  • Ideal for those who prefer teaching online via Zoom or other online teaching platforms

  • Earn volunteer hours for sessions (up to 60 minutes per session per student)

  • Very ideal during the COVID-19 pandemic

Requirements

  • Be a high school student

  • Attend a Zoom meeting with the main leadership team of Power Scholars to present what area you would like to lead

  • Volunteers are expected to follow Power Scholars protocol 

  • Have innovative ideas on how you can grow Power Scholars and spread our cause 

  •  Be a current volunteer in our internship/volunteer program (Are you currently not a volunteer? Apply now.)​​

  • Have scheduled meetings online
