  • If you applying to be a tutor, you must follow the guidelines listed further below on this page specifically for tutors.

  • Volunteers must be in 9th grade or over

  • College students (undergraduate only) are permitted to volunteer

  • Submit our volunteer application

  • Complete a quick but efficient volunteer training​

  • Be compassionate, kind, and have good email etiquette

  • All volunteers are required to have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale).

  •  If your school does not follow a 4.0 GPA weighting system, your recent transcript may include up to two C's, and may NOT include any D's, E's (British System), or F's.

Lead a Power Scholars Online Tutoring chapter in your area! If you're interested, please submit a support request to the executive department by visiting the "support" page.


  • Ideal for starting a Power Scholars club at your school!

  • Provide tutoring locally in your school's media center, cafeteria, or at local coffee shops

  • Ideal for those that don't want to teach via Zoom or other online teaching platforms

  • Earn volunteer hours for sessions (up to 60 minutes per session per student)


  • Be a high school student

  • Attend a Zoom meeting with the main leadership team of Power Scholars to present what area you would like to lead

  • Volunteers are expected to follow Power Scholars protocol

  • Have innovative ideas on how you can grow Power Scholars and spread our cause

  • Be a current volunteer in our internship/volunteer program 

  • Have planned areas for meetings (e.g., high school cafeteria, local coffee shop)
