REQUIREMENTS

Tutors are required to have an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher
-
You must be a high school student (grades 9-12)

Students in other grade levels/situations may be able to volunteer with an executive override. Visit the FAQs section for more information on this!

Earn volunteer hours for sessions (up to 60 minutes per session per student)

Attend a Zoom meeting with the main leadership team of Power Scholars to present what area you would like to lead

Volunteers are expected to follow Power Scholars protocol

Have innovative ideas on how you can grow Power Scholars and spread our cause

Have planned areas for meetings (e.g., high school cafeteria, local coffee shop)
VIRTUAL CHAPTER

Ideal for starting a global Power Scholars chapter in a bigger area (e.g., Greater Houston, Greater Orlando, Manhattan/Brooklyn, etc.).

Ideal for those who prefer teaching online via Zoom or other online teaching platforms
